Testing the waters

My cat and I are trying this new thing. It comes out from under the bed, we lock eyes in utter shock, and then we pretend to go about our usual business like nothing happened.

It's finally giving me the attention I deserve for emptying its litter box. Can I just say, with all of the advances in technology, why am I still scooping the clumps of littery poop the same as I didn't when I had a cat in the 90's? My sister who's allergic, convinced my dad who was also allergic to get a cat. It didn't last long after they both started using puffers, but long enough to scoop my fair share. And nothing has changed since then. They can scan my iris to identify me, put a chip in my arm to pay for things, but poopy scooping is what it is.
